There are many experiences in life. Man has seen so many things. Experiences like; walking on the sea, bringing the dead back to life, swimming iron, feeding a multitude with little bread and fish and even the in-filling with the Holy Spirit: are all good. There seems to be non as great as the resurrection experience. When Jesus resurrected, nothing could restrain Him. He walked into the room when the doors were locked. He could disappear and appear at will. His body has put on immortality. He walked into Heaven triumphantly. Death could not have power over Him any more. When Lazarus was raised fro the dead, he died again, but when Jesus resurrected, He ascended into Heaven: never to die again.
The greatest experience any mortal man can have, is the experience of a resurrection life in Christ Jesus. This can only happen to those who have been born again as recorded in John 3:1-15. The life of Christ in you is the one that brings you alive after death. If you do not die in Christ, you cannot resurrect in Christ. Without Christ, you will be raised from the dead to face judgment and then be passed onto eternal death and damnation.
See what the angel at the resurrection of Christ said in John 28:5-7. 'But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.”'
From the above passage, we have the following lessons to learn about the result of Christ resurrection:
* "Do not be afraid..." Fear should be banished from your life totally. Fear of death, failure, misery, terminal disease, poverty etc should not rule your life. As a Christian, you are no more numbered among the dead, but among the living. What ever may be happening to you, remember that you have another life in Christ which assures you of life eternal. Even if your mortal body dies, you have an eternal life with Jesus Christ.
* "...I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here..." Do not seek Jesus among the dead. Associate with Christians. Grow and build up your life in Christ together with other believers.
* "...go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead ..." The story of Christ resurrection should be shared with all: both Christians and non-Christians alike. Take this good news to all you come across.
* " ...he is going before you to Galilee ..." In the journey of life, you will never be left alone. There are several promises in Scriptures that tells you that God is with you. Jesus promised that He will be with you always. He has gone to Heaven so as to send you the Holy Spirit, who will ever be with you.
If you are sure you will not resurrect with Christ when you die, just confess your sins now. Ask God to forgive you and the ask Jesus to come into your life. He will do that and start a new life with you.
