Meditation for March 2nd, 2014
PRAYERS THAT PREVAIL 1
Lent is a period Christians remember the forty days fast Jesus did before starting His earthly ministry. Today is the Sunday before Lent, also known as Quinquagesima. By God’s grace, we shall be looking at prayers that prevail in our next meditations.
Prayer is defined as talking to God. Some see prayers as a conversation between God and man. To others, it is what you use as your last result when all other efforts have failed. Some just pray because they learnt to do so from home or school.
There is no one that does not have problems that he or she cannot solve. There are so many things in and around us that no mortal man can take care off. All efforts made to handle such problems or challenges have failed. You can take out time and list them. Such situations can adequately be catered for through prayers. At times, hardtimes pour on some people like a flood, giving them no breathing space. How can such situations be best handled by a mortal man? Satan does not show mercy. The plans of the devil, if not restricted, can ruin anyone within a short while. At very hard times, you need someone who is greater than you and the devil to set you free. Such a Person is best accessed through prayers.
