EASTER MESSAGE SERIES - FIRST AND SECOND ADAM 3

JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD WHEN THEY NAILED HIS HANDS TO THE CROSS

In the beginning, God gave man the very best. All man needed to do; to live well was provided. In Genesis 2:15-17 we are told that "The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

There are three quick lessons to learn here:

·   The Lord asked man to work and keep the garden. The phrase "to work it and to keep it" refers to the work of your hands. Today whatever you do for a living is the work of your hands

from the Lord, provided it agrees with the Scriptures. The work of your hand includes your profession, your business, your company, your NGO, the ministry God gave you, and for the students-your academics. God cannot give you prostitution as a profession when He has said that all adulterers and fornicators will go to hell. How is the work of your hand? Does it agree with the Scriptures?

·   God's plan is for you to feed well. He provided enough for Adam to eat and to spare. God told Adam, "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden". Food is very important to mankind. That's why God made enough provision for man. Through the work of your hand, God's plan for you is to feed well, and also feed those He has blessed you with very well. Are you feeding well? Are those under you; children house-helps etc feeding well?

·   God commanded man not to eat the fruit of knowledge and good. Man disobeyed and ate the forbidden fruit. That brought curses on all mankind. Today, there are several things that the body enjoy that are injurious to the body. The unfortunate thing is that man finds it difficult to control what he eats. Someone once said, "you are what you eat." Some are drunkards even when alcohol is injurious to them, they find it difficult to say no. Some smoke even when they know that smokers are likely to die young. Some take hard drugs, smoke marijuana despite all the harm it has caused them. Beloved, are you able to control what you take into your system. May God grant you victory in Jesus name.

All man need to live well was provided by God, but man lost his enviable position by eating from "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil".

Jesus came to redeem mankind from this curse of disobeying God's command. Hear what God did to man after man disobeyed God's command as recorded in Genesis 3:17c-19a, "... cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, ..."

Jesus came to redeem man from this curse by shedding His blood through His hands. Jesus gave you all round victory. He gave you victory over poverty. Through the shedding of the blood in His hands, you are to enjoy victory over all you lay your hands on to do i.e. Victory over all the works of your hands. Your profession, your research work, your studies, the ministry God gave you, and all you do for a living is to enjoy all round victory.

Beloved, are you enjoying the works of your hands? Are you living in prosperity?

I pray that the blessings of God for you through the shedding of the blood in His hands will be enjoyed by you to the fullest in Jesus name.
