JESUS APPEARS TO HIS DISCIPLES
The enemies of Jesus Christ remembered that He will resurrect the third day. They asked that Pilate allow them send soldiers to keep watch over the grave till the third day is over. The friends of Jesus Christ (His disciples) did not believe. Jesus had to appear to them at different instances. Do you believe what God tells you? Below are three appearances recorded in Mark 16:9-18
· JESUS APPEARS TO MARY MAGHALENE (MARK 16:9-11)
Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene. He reported this to the disciples. From Mark 16:11 we read “But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it.” Do you meet with; and experience Jesus in your private life?
· JESUS APPEARS TO TWO DISCIPLES (MARK 16:12-13)
Jesus appears to two of his disciples who went and told the others. You need to have a prayer partner. One will chase 1,000 and two 10,000. See the ration. If you are married, work with your partner to deal with the devil. A close walk and work with your wife or husband will make you a better person. Remember the Bible tells us that two are better than one.
· JESUS APPEARS TO THE ELEVEN (MARK 16:14)
At this time, Jesus went further to show Himself to the eleven, Judas – having killed himself by hanging. Have you met with Jesus? You need to give your life to Him. It is only then you can enjoy His abundant life.
The Bible says that by the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word shall be established. Jesus’ appearances at three different instances proves that He really resurrected. His resurrection leads to a command that they should “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” Mark 16:15.
Beloved, this command was obeyed by the disciples then. We need to obey this same command today. Preach the gospel to all of God’s creation. It is in obeying this command that the miracles listed in Mark 16:17-18 will be manifested: “And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover."
The disciples obeyed and their testimony was that “the Lord worked with them and confirmed the messageby accompanying signs.”Mark 16:20. My prayers for you is that, as you obey this great commission, these signs and wonders mentioned above will follow you in Jesus name.
