POLITICS: HOW FAR CAN THE CHRISTIAN GO? Part 2
In every generation, it has pleased God to use man. When God wanted to move the children of Israel from slavery to the land of plenty, he chose to use Moses. When Haman was out to annihilate the Israelites, God raised up an Esther who declared, "if I perish, I perish." In the book of Judges, the children of Israel were constantly humiliated by their enemies. God in each case used men and women to bring deliverance to His children. Gideon was able to confront, defeat and destroy 32,000 enemy-soldiers that were well-trained, well-armed, well-funded, and well-equipped with only 300 brave, God-fearing, God-loving, God-obeying and God-trusting soldiers carrying torches and calabash of water whose faith was only in God. Little David (armed with five stones and a sling) was able to kill a giant Goliath (a trusted and tested war veteran with a spear) because David believed in God.

The Nigeria Church is on the path of annihilation. The enemies of the people of God are battle ready to put an end to Christianity in Nigeria. If this is done in a peaceful manner, they are no match. Their methods are cruel, crude, unexpected, and full of deceits and evil imaginations. They use all within their powers to ensure that they establish the kingdom of the devil on earth in their generations. What Christians need to do is to go to God for mercy, and ask for His grace and deliverance from the evil plans of the enemy.
When God is involved in a situation, He does not work as man do. His strategies are different and very contrary to the plans, trainings, inventions and conventions of man. The point we need to always remember is that God's method in reaching out to man is man. God wants to use you to change the world around you. Gubernatorial elections are by the corner in Edo State. This is the time Christians should arise and vote for a candidate that will protect, defend, provide and correct the wrongs that have been done to the Church. This is the time to ensure that we do not only vote but ensure that our votes count.
I want to end this meditation with a scripture from Genesis 1:28 which says, "And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” The two words subdue and dominion has to do with mastering and ruling what God has given to us. It is only when you are in charge that you can fully do this. As a Christian, governance and rulership is part of what God wants us to be involved in. I pray that God will grant us wisdom to execute His perfect will in our generation in Jesus name.
Maranatha.
